UCONN students go wild in the streets of Storrs

Huff Post-STORRS, Conn. — University of Connecticut and state police say they arrested 27 people after the Huskies won the national basketball championship.

The arrests on Monday night and early Tuesday were mostly for vandalism, but others were accused of breach of peace, inciting a riot, criminal trespassing and interfering with a police officer. Twenty-four of the arrests occured on campus, and of those 10 are UConn students.

For a school with 20,000 students I’m surprised only 27 were arrested. Remember back in the day when students would flip cars, break windows, climb on the street lights and spraypaint the sidewalks? Now apparently they just “breach the peace, incite riots and tresspass. Or maybe those are just the ones that get caught.
